On May 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the first phase of Kangarli village in the Aghdam district. Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, informed the head of state about the conditions created there.

It was noted that, similar to other liberated territories, large-scale construction work is being carried out in the Aghdam district. One of the places where these works are ongoing is Kangarli village of the district. Located 6 kilometers from the city center, the foundation of this village was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on October 4, 2022.

Kangarli village is planned for 2,544 people. The total projected area exceeds 177 hectares. In total, the construction of 632 private houses in 2 phases is envisaged in the village. All conditions have been created in this village to ensure the employment of the population, and various facilities for economic, educational, social, cultural, and domestic purposes have been built. Internal village roads, electricity, communication, and water lines have been laid, and gas supply has been provided.
