The memorial was erected on the site of one of the rocket strikes, on the site of former residential buildings, and occupies an area of 4 hectares. The spiral architectural solution symbolizes the funnel formed in the ground - after the rocket. In the open part of the memorial, the remains of the destroyed buildings have been preserved as a special installation.
The construction and installation works of the project were successfully carried out by 'Real İnşaat' as the general contractor.

The total area of the crescent-shaped two-story building is 2,400 square meters. The first floor houses the museum exposition, while the second floor features a multi-functional hall designed for seminars, training sessions, and various events.
The museum includes halls dedicated to the themes: "Beginning of the 20th Century," "Deportation and Internal Displacement," "Genocide and Massacres," "Period of Ceasefire and the Patriotic War," "Missing Persons, Mass Graves, and Landmine Terror," and "Towards a Bright Future."

The exhibition first presents the tragedies of the early 20th century, including the March 1918 genocide, through historical facts. It also reflects the mass deportation of our compatriots from Western Azerbaijan between 1948 and 1953. In the interactive section, visitors can explore archive materials, historical documents, and examples of destroyed cultural heritage.
Subsequent sections contain information about the ethnic cleansing crimes, genocides, and systematic massacres committed against the Azerbaijani people between 1987 and 1994. A separate part of the museum is dedicated to the deliberate targeting of the civilian population in the modern era—during the ceasefire years, the Patriotic War, and the subsequent stages.

The final part of the exhibition is dedicated to the triumph of the perseverance and winning spirit of the Azerbaijani people, who maintained their fighting stance despite years of injustice.
